Frederick William Davis (1862-1919)

Davis worked chiefly in Birmingham, but he often exhibited his works at the major London shows. Later in his career he accepted several commissions to paint scenes from Shakespeare's plays. John Christian lists, besides Falstaff, pictures drawn from 2 Henry VI (1902), As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, and Measure for Measure (194).
