Admissions - Applications
Required materials for application to the English Ph.D. program are as follows:

Students must apply online. The new online application will be available in October 2009. Further information may be found on the Graduate School's application page.
  1. Application for Admission.
  2. Statement of Purpose.
  3. Three letters of recommendation.
  4. Official general GRE scores. Subject test score is not required. To facilitate quicker processing of applications, please submit GRE student copy while the department waits for the official version.
  5. Hard copies of official transcript(s) must be sent directly to:

  7. A single academic writing sample of 15 to 20 pages.
*All of the above application materials must be in the English Department Office (302 N. Callaway Center, 537 Kilgo Circle, Atlanta, GA 30322) on or before December 1, 2009. The department strictly adheres to this deadline date.
