Deborah Ayer is Senior Lecturer in the English Department, Director of the Writing Center, and Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Curriculum. She earned he Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts in 1979, and her research interests include composition, the modern novel, twentieth-century American literature, and African American literature.
